Stormy Studio is an award-winning content production studio based in Indonesia, established in 2011, with a strong specialization in the creation and development of original Intellectual Properties (IP). With over a decade of experience, we are dedicated to producing high-quality, cross-platform entertainment content—from animation and games to toys, apps, and visual design. What sets us apart is our IP-driven mindset: we don’t just create visuals, we build sustainable, story-rich universes that are designed to grow. Our mission is to lead Indonesia’s creative industry into a future where locally born IPs are recognized, respected, and loved on a global scale.
More About Us
Founded by Stormy Yudo Prakoso (yes, you’re reading that right—the studio name is indeed inspired by its founder), Stormy Studio is an award-winning content production studio focused on original intellectual properties. Established in 2011, the studio has grown into a creative powerhouse rooted in passion, discipline, and sustainable practices.
Stormy has been active in the animation industry since junior high school in 2007—the same year he participated in his first National Animation Festival (FAN). Entirely self-taught at the time, he began his animation journey there, and since then has consistently participated in 1–2 animation festivals every year, whether regional or national. These early experiences, along with his learning from senior practitioners, communities, and studio founders, built the foundation for what would become Stormy Studio.
Along the way, Stormy also pursued a parallel career in academia. With around 12 years of teaching experience across institutions such as Universitas Negeri Malang and Universitas Brawijaya, and since 2023 as a lecturer at Institut Teknologi Bandung, his academic path has always moved alongside his studio journey. This dual commitment—to both nurturing a creative business and contributing to education—has shaped the studio’s core values. It reflects a leadership built on perseverance, integrity, and long-term vision, which clients have come to deeply trust.
Stormy Studio is not just a company—it is a creative ecosystem. Our team consists of seasoned professionals who consistently deliver high-quality results to both local and international clients. Rather than working on high volumes, we emphasize long-term partnerships—with many of our clients returning for repeat collaborations thanks to our deep focus and dependable delivery.
We run on a humane 9-to-5 schedule in a smoke-free environment, committed to fair treatment and the well-being of our team. Since day one, we have operated exclusively on legal and open-source software and operating systems, including Linux, MacOS, Blender, Krita, GIMP, Godot, and more.
Stormy Studio has been honored with numerous national awards, including AKATARA, KATAPEL, WIDURI, ANIFEST, IdenTIK, and ANIMPIADE—testaments to our creative integrity and consistency. We remain fully committed to developing original IPs, while welcoming meaningful and long-term collaborations with like-minded partners.
